Telling the customer that they are the problem is not helpful. I must admit that I have been very disappointed in VMware's Fusion support on this issue. If anybody else out there is experiencing a similar glitch, please let me know… especially if you have been able to determine a workaround.

And again, I'm informed that it's my fault–I must be manually erasing Windows 7. The updates have gone smoothly and without any glitches.īut on this first iMac, every time Fusion updates, it automatically erases Windows 7. On the second iMac, I'm experiencing absolutely no problems with Fusion–no missing Windows 7. However, this is not the only iMac I own, and not the only iMac that is running Fusion. I have been informed that I must be mistaken.

I responded that I did not delete Windows 7 on either occasion I simply updated Fusion. In other words, they could not find Windows 7 anywhere (in association with the log files that were sent).

The result? I have been informed by a technical support representative that I must have manually deleted the installed copy of Windows 7.

I have sent log files and the whole gamut. Upon restarting Fusion, there was no copy of Windows 7.ĭuring the past 7-10 days I have taken the time to attempt to work with VMware's technical support department on this issue. When version 3.1 was available, I once again updated Fusion. Nevertheless, not having time to contact technical support at that particular juncture, I went ahead and simply reinstalled Windows 7. (This wasn't 3.1, but a prior update.) After the update, Fusion restarted and began looking for the previously installed a copy of Windows 7. I use Windows 7 (Home Premium, 64-Bit) with this copy of Fusion.Ī couple of weeks after the installation, Fusion performed an update. A couple of months ago I purchased Fusion 3.0 for my iMac.
